Milk man with no measureing jar.

A milk man goes to one of the houses he gives milk to everyday. He suddenly realizes that he has forgotten his measuring jar.

He has a 10 liters can which is full with milk and two empty cans of 7 liters and 3 liters.

He needs to give 5 liters of milk in two different houses. How will he distribute the available 10 liter milk equally among the two houses?

Note: This puzzle becomes interesting when calculated mentally without using pen and paper. Try not using pen and paper.
